Teletherapy

What is teletherapy?

Also known as telepsychology, teletherapy is a therapy session conducted remotely through technology - either via phone calls, text message, live chat, or video conferencing.

What is the cost for teletherapy?

Psychotherapy and medication management with our psychiatrist are services covered by your insurance plan. Otherwise, please inquire with the provider you are interested in seeing for their non-insurance rate.

What is "HIPAA-compliant"?

"HIPAA-compliant" means the platform we use for our video conferencing is compliant with the privacy laws that keep your health information secure .

Do you get anxious or feel camera-shy?

If so, voice this to you teletherapist. Minimizing the window with the picture of yourself may help. That way you are not staring at yourself.

What to do to make sure your teletherapy goes well:

  1. Before therapy, spend a few minutes alone to collect your thoughts.
  2.  Make sure you are in a private place with no background noise, interruptions, or distractions.
  3.  Make sure you have a good internet connection.
  4.  Check that you are using the best browser for the service you are connecting through and that it is up to date.

We look forward to talking with you at your next teletherapy appointment.
